In My Mobile Media Development class, we used AI to build and create an app of our choice. The app I created is a recipe app that allows users to filter by allergens, favorite and save recipes, and view each recipe in a detail view. This app was created by supplying Chat GPT with prompts such as: “Generate SwiftUI code for a recipe app that has the ability to filter by allergens and save recipes in a ‘Favorites’ section”. While Chat GPT was able to generate code for the prompt above, the code was full of errors and lacked most of the functionality needed for the app to work. Still using Chat GPT, I was able to solve the errors found in the supplied code to make a simple, functional, and user-friendly app interface. While the app isn’t perfect, it is an excellent example of the ways AI can be used to make our lives easier.
